Hello, and welcome!
We are Richard and Grayce, the founders of Leading with CARE. Between us, we've spent years working with people in education, leadership, coaching and wellbeing, and one thing has always stood out: leadership is rarely about knowing what to do. Most people already know that. The challenge is managing the pressure, the people, the expectations and everything else that comes with it. That's where we come in.
Leading with CARE was created to support people to lead with greater compassion, ambition, resilience, and empathy. Whether you're leading a team, supporting colleagues, working in education or simply wanting to better understand yourself, our goal is to provide practical tools and meaningful conversations that help you grow.
Richard took on leadership from an early age. As the eldest in a large extended family, responsibility came naturally, and that continued through his teens, leading water sports activities before developing a career in education that has now spanned more than 20 years.
His leadership journey accelerated when he became Head of School at independent SEN schools in London in his twenties, before going on to open his own thriving schools in 2020. Alongside building and leading successful organisations, he became a father to two incredible daughters and completed his Master's in Educational Leadership.
Whilst there is a long list of achievements across the past two decades, Richard is the first to acknowledge that leadership is about far more than titles and milestones. He is familiar with the challenges that come with leading people, growing organisations and balancing family life with ambitious and meaningful professional goals. Like many leaders, he has experienced the highs, the lows and everything in between.
Now CEO of the group he founded and studying for an MBA, Richard remains committed to learning, growing and sharing what he has learned through real-world experience. Not simply through theory, but through doing, overcoming and, at times, simply surviving some of the challenges that leadership can bring.
Working with people, and more importantly leaving them better than when you found them, sits at the heart of who he is and comes through in everything he does. Throughout his career, he has worked hard to find the balance between being an ambitious, high-performing leader and leading with care, compassion and empathy. As the organisation he founded continues to grow and evolve, that balance remains an ongoing journey.
These values, experiences and ways of thinking have shaped an approach that sits outside many traditional leadership programmes. It is a perspective built on lived experience, practical application and a genuine belief that leadership should be both ambitious and human.
Whilst Richard would be the first to say he is still learning, growing and refining his approach, he is passionate about sharing the lessons, tools and insights that have helped him navigate leadership so far. There is still much to learn, much to explore and many conversations to be had, and he looks forward to continuing that journey alongside the people and organisations he works with.
Grayce's passion for helping people started early through sport, dance and working within team environments. Through competing, teaching and coaching others, she developed a fascination with what helps people grow, overcome challenges and reach their potential.
Her professional journey began in the health and fitness industry as a personal trainer, helping people build confidence and improve both their physical and mental wellbeing. As her experience grew, she realised many people needed support beyond exercise alone. Wanting to help people more holistically, she trained in Sports Massage Therapy and went on to build and grow her own successful business, supporting people through injury, recovery and long-term wellbeing.
Over time, Grayce became increasingly interested in the connection between physical health, mindset and behaviour. After several years of running her business, she evolved it into a wellness company, recognising that lasting change rarely comes from focusing on one area of life in isolation. Her curiosity about human behaviour, communication and personal development eventually led her into Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), coaching and leadership development.
Throughout every stage of her career, one belief has remained consistent: if someone leaves feeling better than when they arrived, then she has done her job. Whether working with individuals physically, emotionally or professionally, helping people recognise their strengths and create meaningful change remains at the heart of everything she does.
Coming from a close-knit family, Grayce understands the importance of communication, connection and working together towards a shared goal. These values continue to shape her approach today. Through Leading with CARE, she combines her experience across wellbeing, coaching and human development to help people better understand themselves, build resilience and lead with greater confidence, empathy and self-awareness.
Great leadership goes beyond managing people. It starts with understanding them.
Leadership is changing. You can see it, and perhaps you're experiencing it too. People thrive under leadership built on connection, understanding and authenticity. They value leaders who can communicate clearly, inspire confidence, offer support and adapt when things change. Isn't that what we all want?
That's exactly what Leading with CARE was built to develop.
Our programmes combine personal development, leadership psychology and practical application to help people become more confident, self-aware and effective in the way they lead. Leadership reaches far beyond a job title. It happens every day: in classrooms, workplaces, teams, communities and homes.
If you're looking for development that is practical, relevant and focused on the human skills that make a difference, you're in the right place. You'll find clear, accessible learning, honest conversations and practical tools designed to be used in the moments that matter.
Our programmes combine clear guidance, practical leadership tools and real-life application, with support that helps you turn what you're learning into meaningful change.
